How tightly the cushions seal the ear determines how much sound is audibly received and how much ambient noise is kept out. They influence the sound and the isolation from the room, and they also determine how comfortable the headphones remain during a long TV session. Those who tend to feel warm quickly should look for soft, breathable cushions. Two things are important here. First, the connection to the device, and second, the question of when an over-ear headphone is the right choice.  <\/p>\n\n      <h3>1. Connection to the Television<\/h3>\n      <p>The sound reaches the headphones either via a cable or wirelessly. Wireless connections use Bluetooth or a dedicated radio transmitter connected to the TV&#8217;s audio output. When watching TV, latency is a real and annoying issue. With Bluetooth, depending on the TV and headphones, the sound can audibly lag, causing lips and voices to be out of sync. A dedicated radio transmitter is often the significantly more stable choice for this, as it is designed for low latency. Although there are very high-quality and expensive over-ear headphones, many devices are also available at very affordable prices. The everyday situation in which such headphones are used can often be described as: watching TV quietly in the evening while someone else is sleeping nearby, yet still having clear and close sound. This is what the closed design is made for. Even when noise comes from outside, the isolation helps separate the TV sound from the rest.
